Jolly Rog The best jazz just gets better from Shotgun. I started from an old bakelite valve radio listening to dance band and jazz in the 1960's. In the 70's The River City Stompers were my live jazz band influence in Gloucester, England. (Where are they now?) Shotgun are excellent exponents of their craft. I wish I could play !

David Menashe Yet another superb album from Shotgun Jazz Band. Yearning was always going to be a hard act to follow but Stepping On The Gas may be even better!

My only gripe is that we had to wait well over 2 years for it ;-) Please Marla, send us more... Favorite track: Breeze.
Ricky Riccardi

Ricky Riccardi Another indispensable album by my favorite New Orleans traditional jazz band. Everyone is in spectacular form but the tracks with the addition of Ben Polcer on trumpet and Tom Fischer on reeds are especially worth savoring as they capture the spirit of the legendary Sam Morgan recordings. And no one in the world can sing like Marla! What a band! Favorite track: White Ghost Shivers.
